The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the notification for Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 for 1,308 posts in the Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry Department. The recruitment will be conducted through the Veterinary Pharmacist Main Examination (PET-2025)/18.

Horizontal reservation provisions for eligible women, ex-servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, outstanding sportspersons and persons with disabilities will also apply according to applicable Uttar Pradesh government rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational and professional requirements.
Applicants should have:
- Passed Intermediate/12th with Biology or an equivalent examination.
- Completed a 2 years 3 months Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy from a recognised institution/university.
- Fulfilled the applicable registration requirements with the relevant veterinary pharmacy/council or authority.
- Possess knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
Candidates must have obtained the required qualification and certificates by the last date of application, i.e. 5 October 2026.
Preferential Qualification
Candidates having either of the following may receive preference where applicable:
- At least two years of service in the Territorial Army.
- NCC ‘B’ Certificate.
Age Limit
The age of candidates will be calculated as of 1 July 2026.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Age relaxation for reserved categories and other eligible categories will be provided according to Uttar Pradesh government rules.

Selection Process
The UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist recruitment selection process consists primarily of:

Candidates will initially be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their normalised UP PET 2025 scores. The commission is expected to shortlist candidates at approximately 15 times the category-wise vacancies for the Main Examination.
UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Exam Pattern
The Main Examination will consist of an objective-type paper containing 100 questions for 100 marks. The examination duration will be 2 hours.

Selected Veterinary Pharmacists will be appointed under Pay Matrix Level-5, with a pay scale of:
