The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 Recruitment Notification under the Agnipath Scheme. Eligible unmarried Indian male and female candidates can apply online from 06 July 2026 to 26 July 2026. Along with Agniveervayu, the IAF has also invited applications for Airmen Group ‘Y’ (Medical Assistant) Intake 02/2027.

Educational Qualification
Agniveervayu (Science Subjects)
Candidates should have passed:
- 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English
OR
- Three-year Engineering Diploma with minimum 50% marks
OR
- Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics and minimum 50% marks.
Other Than Science Subjects
Candidates should have passed:
- 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English
OR
- Two-year Vocational Course with minimum 50% marks.
Age Limit
Candidates should be born between:
01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
The maximum age at enrolment should not exceed 22 years.

IAF Selection Process 2026: Exam Pattern
Both posts follow a three-phase selection process – an online written test, physical/adaptability tests, and a final medical examination.
Phase I: Online Written Test

Marking Scheme (both posts): +1 mark for each correct answer, 0 for unattempted questions, and -0.25 for each wrong answer. Marks may be normalized to adjust for variation in difficulty across exam sessions, and candidates must qualify in each subject/paper individually.
Phase II: Physical Fitness & Adaptability Tests
Shortlisted candidates undergo the Physical Fitness Test (detailed above) followed by two written Adaptability Tests assessing suitability for military life and ability to adjust to Air Force working conditions and environments.
Phase III: Medical Examination
Candidates who clear Adaptability Test-II undergo a detailed medical examination by the Air Force Medical Team, including blood haemogram, urine tests, biochemistry profile (blood sugar, cholesterol, kidney & liver function), chest X-ray, and ECG. Candidates declared unfit may appeal via an Appeal Medical Board by depositing ₹40.
