Walk-in Interview Schedule

Senior Resident candidates applying for Super Specialty Departments must attend the interview on this date.
9 September 2026
Senior Resident candidates from Pre-Clinical and Para-Clinical Departments will be interviewed.
10 September 2026
Senior Resident candidates from Clinical Departments will attend the walk-in interview.
Candidates should verify the department applicable to their specialty before travelling to the venue. ESIC also reserves the right to modify the date, time or venue if required.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized university.
For the TB & Chest department, candidates holding MD/DNB in Pulmonary Medicine, Chest Medicine or Respiratory Medicine are also eligible.
Candidates must have valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council. Candidates awaiting their final PG result may also be permitted to appear, subject to producing the required passing certificate within the prescribed time.

Age Limit
The applicable age limit is governed by the relevant NMC norms and is reckoned with reference to the date of interview.
Age relaxation is available as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years

Salary
Selected Senior Residents will receive a fixed basic pay of ₹67,700 per month, along with other admissible allowances as applicable under the contractual terms.
The appointment is initially for one year and can be renewed subject to satisfactory performance, willingness and institutional requirements.

Candidates required to pay the fee should prepare a Demand Draft as prescribed in the notification. The DD should be in favour of “ESIC HOSPITAL BIHTA SB ACC-2”, payable at Bihta, Patna.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Document verification.
- Walk-in interview before the Selection Board.
- Preparation of the selection result based on credentials and interview performance.
There is no written examination or computer-based test for this recruitment. Candidates must carry their original documents because they will be required for verification before appearing for the interview.

Important Conditions
The Senior Resident positions are contractual, and appointment does not provide any automatic right to permanent employment, confirmation or continuation.
Selected candidates are required to comply with ESIC’s contractual service conditions. The notification also states that private practice is not permitted after joining.
Candidates currently working with government, autonomous or statutory organizations should bring an NOC or evidence that an NOC has been applied for. A relieving letter will be required before joining for selected candidates who are currently employed elsewhere.
A ₹20,000 security deposit is also applicable at the time of joining under the stated terms. Candidates should read the official notification carefully for the conditions governing this deposit and other contractual benefits.
