Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications from a recognized University/Institute:
- B.E./B.Tech in the relevant Engineering discipline.
- M.Sc. in the relevant Science discipline.
- Equivalent qualifications as prescribed in the notification.
- Valid GATE score card (of the year 2023/2024/2025)
Final-year students who meet the eligibility requirements mentioned in the notification may also be eligible for certain posts. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying.
Selection Criteria
i) The final selection of the candidates will be purely on the basis of discipline wise category wise merit of aggregate of 80% weightage of marks of GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in Personal Interview.
ii) The final selection of Divyangjan (HH), Divyangjan (LD), Divyangjan (AAD/Dw) candidates against the DRDO reserved for them in the applicable disciplines will be purely on the basis of combined merit of aggregate of 80% weightage of GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in Personal Interview.
iii) Only those candidates securing minimum qualifying marks of 70% (for UR category) and 60% (for EWS/OBC/SC/ST/ Divyangjan category) in the Personal Interview will be considered for preparation of final merit list. Candidates who do not qualify the interview will not be considered for final selection irrespective of their GATE score.
iv) In addition to the above, any other selection tool/test may be administered, at the sole discretion of RAC.

Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed in the Scientist cadre with attractive pay scales under the Central Government.
The posts are in Level-10 (7th CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Basic Pay of Rs.56,100/-). Total emoluments (inclusive of HRA and all other allowances) at the time of joining will be approximately Rs. 1,00,000/- p.m. at the present metro city rate

In addition to basic pay, candidates will receive DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, NPS benefits, medical facilities, leave benefits, and other allowances admissible under Central Government rules.

Application Fee
General (UR), EWS and OBC male candidates are required to pay a non transferable non-refundable application fee of Rs 100/- (Rs. One Hundred only) payable online only. There is no application fee for SC/ST/ Divyangjan and women candidates.
