Detailed Job Overview

The CEO/MD serves as the full-time executive head of IRRPL and a member of the Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall management and operations of the AK-203 rifle manufacturing facility.
  • Meeting production and delivery targets under the ₹5,200+ crore contract with the Indian Armed Forces.
  • Coordination with Russian JV partners (Concern Kalashnikov & Rosoboronexport) and Indian stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria (as per official circular):

  • Educational Qualification: Engineering Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline.
  • Essential Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as Chief Executive Officer in manufacturing companies or equivalent higher position in the Indian Armed Forces (e.g., Major General or equivalent).
  • Desirable: Around 25 years of professional experience in manufacturing or weapon systems.
